Online TEFL/TESOL Courses Information
Here are some things to think about when deciding to do an online TEFL/TESOL Courses
It cheaper than doing a 4 course in another country, however if you are looking to teach English overseas it can end up costing you more. How's that? You might say! Well, you still have to book a flight to another country if you want to get a teaching English job there. You will need to pay for a hotel room or apartment while you look for a job teaching job. There are also travel and food expenses and before you know it you've spent more than you would of if you had do a 4 week course in the country you wish to teach in.
Online TEFL/TESOL courses can't help you get a job in another country unless their office happens to be in that country. Local TEFL/TESOL courses can at least assist you in your teaching job search as they will have local contact with schools and you can deal with your TEFL/TESOL courses face to face.
Doing TEFL/TESOL course will be far more practical than doing an online TEFL / online TESOL course as you will get hands on experience and understand the cultural differences in the classroom when teaching English. No book, video Mp3, DVD can replace real life teaching experience.
Beware of online TEFL/TESOL courses guaranteeing you a teaching English job in another country after you have done their online TEFL/TESOL program. There no guarantee of anything in this world. Do your due diligence as this could be a very costly mistake. If they do find you a teaching English job they can't always guarantee it will be that you want. It might not be in the place, salary range and/or age group that you want.
